As part of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities’ support of the rollout of the new 9-8-8 ecosystem in Georgia, the 9-8-8 Steering Committee has instituted a policy of regular data updates on a wide range of metrics across the 9-8-8 system. 9-8-8 Data will be regularly reported along the 3 key service areas outlined by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA): Someone To Call, Someone to Respond, and a Safe Place for Crisis Care.

Georgia’s 9-8-8 Steering Committee is coordinating closely with SAMHSA in benchmarking against established service reach and performance horizons and will continue to engage as future performance indicators are released. Federal guidelines and benchmarks will be noted in the 9-8-8 Steering Committee data updates.
