Overview of the Impacts of Long COVID on Behavioral Health

This report discusses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on behavioral health, specifically the psychiatric symptoms associated with Long COVID, potential long-term implications, and suggestions for future directions for recovery. Those with known mental health or substance use disorders are also at high risk for poor mental and physical health outcomes from COVID-19. This report also highlights the challenges of behavioral health care professionals to provide care and support to patients with Long COVID while paying particular attention to health equity and equal access to care for all populations
