While chronic absence levels are starting to decrease in many places, rates are still much higher than pre-pandemic. Although everyone can help ensure students show up to class every day, the leadership role that a principal plays is irreplaceable.
In our third Attendance Awareness Campaign webinar, speakers will explore how the transition to school in the fall can be leveraged to nurture engagement, nourish relationships and cultivate a routine of regular attendance.
Speakers will share strategies for schools and districts that focus on helping students stay healthy and avoid unnecessary absences. Attendance Works will share a new resource to help families decide whether their child is too sick to go to school.
Confirmed speakers:
- John Dixon, Assistant Principal, Glenfair Elementary School, Oregon
- Dr. Elliott Attisha, Senior Fellow for Health, Attendance Works
- Kerri L. Reed, Principal, Grand Rapids Montessori Academy, Michigan
- Monica Murray, Principal, John Marshall High School, Virginia
- Kwesi Rollins, Vice President, Institute for Educational Leadership
- Hedy Chang, Executive Director, Attendance Works
Note: All registrants will receive the webinar recording and PowerPoint slides after the event.
