Georgia Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Initiative Collaborative Meeting

Reserve your spot now, as seating is limited, for the next Georgia Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Initiative Collaborative (GPDAPIC) meeting which will be on March 25th at River Edge Behavioral Health at 175 Emery Highway, Macon, GA 31217. The meeting will be in the Ocmulgee/Assembly Room starting at 9:30 a.m. with a Meet and Greet. The meeting will adjourn at 2:00 p.m. There will be a working lunch (lunch provided) and parking is free. Attendees can look forward to a welcoming atmosphere at the River Edge Behavioral Health Center, ample networking opportunities, and the revitalizing energy that comes from collaboration.

The agenda promises to be incredibly engaging! We are excited to have Jonathan Barr as our content expert and speaker, who brings a wealth of experience as a person in long-term recovery, a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist (MATS) certified by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia, Forensic Peer Mentor (FPM), Certified Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) instructor, and a graduate of Hall County Drug Court. Currently, he serves as the Program Manager for the Peers in Recovery from Opioid Use and Dependency (PROUD) program at Advantage Behavioral Health Systems, where he dedicates his efforts to helping individuals achieve recovery, enhance their quality of life, and foster meaningful connections. Lori Jouty, MPH, the OD Prevention & Response Program Coordinator with Cobb and Douglas Public Health will be providing an OASIS Demonstration. There are also three “Partners” scheduled to give partner updates.
