Register for Fall Communities of Practice

Georgia Essentials for Childhood supports communities of practice around statewide priorities of Georgia’s CAN prevention plan (CANPP). Participants interact through e-mail and the devoted collaboration space on the Basecamp platform, hosted and moderated by Georgia Essentials. In addition, two times each year, virtual (Zoom) sessions are held to bring participants together to learn about resources (like data or funding) and best practices for implementation and collaboration, and to network with their peers from across the state. Communities of practice are intended to offer a safe and open space to allow peer-based sharing of successful approaches, seeking advice around challenges and obstacles, and commiseration.

Participation is open to community members and professionals across Georgia, regardless of their connection to the state CANPP or their region’s implementation plan.
