Knowledge to Action Conversation: More Than Food: The Link Between Trauma & Teen Eating Disorders

Thursday, March 20, 2025 @ 10:00am - 11:30am

Eating disorders are complex and multifaceted, often arising from various factors. They don’t just happen, instead they are deeply influenced by early life experiences, trauma, and even generational patterns. Behaviors such as a child refusing certain foods or fixating on body image may not just be a passing phase, it could indicate deeper emotional or psychological distress that requires careful attention and compassion.

Understanding these connections is key to breaking harmful cycles and helping kids heal.

Join us for a powerful session in which we’ll uncover the hidden link between trauma and eating disorders, bust common myths, and share simple, trauma-informed strategies for supporting children. Whether a parent, educator, or professional, you’ll walk away with practical tools to make a real impact.

This is an event and not a training/workshop. CEUs are not provided, however, you will hear great information that will help you in your work with families in your community. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion if they do not miss more than 10 minutes of the event.
