Talking to children about difficult and uncomfortable topics, such as sex and mental health issues, can be very challenging for many parents. Join us as we encourage fathers to move beyond the barriers that may prevent them from having important conversations. We will:
- Discuss barriers and provide a series of steps and tips to help fathers and mentors make conversations more comfortable;.
- Educate participants on current trends in the areas of teen pregnancy and STIs;
- Look at how fathers and mentors can better support young people in their lives when it comes to mental wellness.
While we are focused primarily on fathers for this event, all are encouraged to join.
