Join us for a powerful evening of remembrance, fitness, and community as we come together for the Purple Run 5K & Kids Fun Dash on Friday, March 6, 2026, in Downtown Waycross during the city’s First Friday celebration, held in honor of Sgt. Kennedy L. Sanders. A proud Waycross native, Ware County High School graduate, and U.S. Army Reservist, Sgt. Sanders’ service, strength, and bright spirit left a lasting impact on her hometown and her country. Registration opens at 4:00 PM, the 5K begins at 5:30 PM, and the Kids Fun Dash follows immediately after. Proceeds from the event benefit the Sgt. Kennedy L. Sanders Foundation, established to carry forward her legacy of service by supporting youth, families, and community initiatives in her name.
